Description

Work on projects that impact the business. You’ll play an essential role in supporting and contributing to key communications strategies and initiatives across the team’s portfolios within Trade and Consumer communications.

Within Trade communications you will be responsible for:

• Research around reporters and publications to vet interview opportunitiesTrade communications coverage tracking for our team and individual portfolio coverage

Within Consumer communications you will be responsible for:

• Proactively building out Reddit consumer narratives and pitching to mediaDrafting consumer media pitches and looking out for newsjacking opportunitiesMining the platform for stand-out stories and ‘moments’Coordinating a project/event as part of the Consumer Comms team 2022 strategy

Qualifications

• Actively working towards a Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations or Communications, or a related field
• Graduating between Fall 2022 (December 2022) to Summer 2023 (June 2023)
• You love interacting with new people & comfortable working within a team environment
• You exhibit attention to detail through strong organizational and time management skills
• You have strong verbal and written communication skills
• You’re passionate about storytelling, press, and media consumption
• You’re an active user of Reddit and are familiar with the aspects of the service
• You’re over the age of 18 and authorized to work in the United States
• A desire to work at Reddit HQ in San Francisco or New York City over Summer 2022 (Subject to change based on safety guidelines created due to the global pandemic)
